Pain relief from the discomforts of muscle and joint ailments such as arthritis, tendonitis, bursitis, carpal tunnel, and rheumatism might be possible with alternative treatments. Capsaicin is extracted from red chili peppers and is the substance that makes chili peppers hot. It is used for pain relief by reducing substance P.
