Accutane, which is commonly referred to as Isotretinoin is a medication that is prescribed for severe acne sufferers. While Accutane is extremely effective at countering acne breakouts, as well as preventing recurring acne breakouts, there are many serious side effects that can be dangerous to those that use it.

It should be noted that receiving a prescription of Accutane requires the patient to consult with a dermatologist and sign a pledge with the FDA.
